MPlayerXP is a parallel branch or improved version of the popular MPlayer multimedia player, that has as its principle new feature the fact that it is based on a new nucleus with thread technology. MPlayerXP, the same as the pioneer, is totally free.

This new nucleus gives MPlayerXP a better CPU use, with a more rational use of resources, and a notable improvement in efficiency when decoding videos. The principle objective of MPlayerXP project is to get a monotone CPU loading when playing video movies.
